Ride Rules (subject to change)
Check-in will start at 8:30am on August 31.
There will be a riders meeting at the starting area 10 minutes before the ride begins.
The rider must assume all responsibilities for his or her actions during the event. They are also participating at their own risk. Medical insurance is the sole responsibility of the rider. Vespacross Colorado, its board or its members, those that are promoting and organizing this event, as well as all volunteers and event staff are not liable for any injuries or damages.
It is HIGHLY recommended that your bike is equipped with equipment — such as bash guards — to prevent catastrophic damage from rocks, boulders, ruts, roots, or crashes.
This event is for scooters and mopeds only. For the purposes of this ride, a scooter will be defined as a two-wheeled motorcycle with a step-through frame. A moped will be defined as a gasoline-powered motor-assisted bicycle. Other "unique" two-wheeled vehicles are allowed.
All riders must wear a DOT-approved helmet, eye protection, long sleeve shirt, full length pants and ankle-high boots. This is for the rider’s safety–anything less would be considered high-risk for injury.
Having a valid license plate and/or Colorado OHV vehicle registration is required. The rider must have a valid license or endorsement to operate their vehicle.
It is the rider’s responsibility to know and obey all applicable traffic laws before, during, and following the event. This includes obeying posted speed limits.
Riders must respect and obey all direction and authority of any local, county, or state police officer, forest ranger, or forest district representative.
It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure that their bike is in safe condition. There should be no sharp edges or parts protruding in any way that may cause harm to them or another rider.
All vehicles must have silencers, sound level cannot exceed 98 dB/A.
All vehicles must have a working kill switch.
If you break down on the trail, try to get yourself and your scooter in a safe position that would avoid obstructing other riders or traffic.
